19. I had surgery on Tuesday. I'm in a lot of pain with my reconstructed ACL ligament. I can't laugh.

It's funny in the movies, but in real life a real person breaking their jaw and getting it wired shut isn't funny--even when the person in pain is herself an ongoing, metaphorical pain in the neck. I was disappointed when I saw Olbermann mugging about somebody else's pain. It's wrongheaded to find this funny, despite the obvious irony.
