26. Thanksgiving was built on the premise of war and death.. starting with

the native peoples of this land. It's nice to have a great groupthink celebration, only wish it was based on something to really celebrate like maybe world peace.

27. To be fair the Thanksgiving we know...

was built as a means to draw the country together during WWII. There have been dozens of others historically dating back to the 1500's and Spanish settlement in St. Augustine Florida. It may have been created IN SPITE of war and death, but it wasn't made as some sort of Orwellian concept of groupthink or wardeath. That's just a jaded PC view that arose after Vietnam, which while soothing of one's "liberal guilt" it wasn't the point. In short, this is why we can't have nice things.
