It's a WAR ON CHRISTMAS!

The battle lines are drawn.

Starting Friday, I'm wishing EVERYONE a "Happy Holiday".

May the crypto-fascist dominionists burn in the sulfurous-tinged flames of their own delusions!

4. My friend's little brother got a hand gun last Christmas.
He was 13 at the time. Don't worry, though, it was Texas.

9. That's a crying shame, but with the
Arctic melting due to global warming climate change, he would have drowned in few years anyway.

6. Now on a serious note
for folks carrying high powered rifles, they surely have no clue about GUN SAFETY

Fingers in trigger guard.... that is an accident waiting to happen

10. Happy Hannukah, Kwanza, Solstice, Saturnalia, and whatever
else you may celebrate.

If Christians want to return to the real "meaning" of Christmas, start with the words of Jesus, and go out and spend money and time helping those less fortunate ("whatsoever you do unto the least of these you do unto me"), or work to end war ("blessed are the peacemakers"). Forget Santa and the tree and all that stuff.

14. Nice guns, cute kids
I just don't buy the message they're sending. Guns aren't fun, they're a tool that you only use when you need to.

17. No, but kids who don't view guns as some mysterious forbidden fruit...
Edited on Fri Nov-28-08 01:32 AM by dmesg
...and are aware of how to safely handle guns (as at least in the photo, the kids seem to be) are probably a lot safer than otherwise.

EDIT: oops, just saw the bent fingers inside the guard. Never mind.

20. ...but on a more serious note,
this issue truly puzzles me - except in the context of the public arena, but I'm not really clear on that either - is the argument strictly a religious one? Then I really don't get it.

Forgive my ignorance... I'm not being facetious, I honestly don't understand and I feel woefully clueless as a result : (

As Nelson Muntz said, "Ya gotta nuke something!"

Don't hurt anybody. Just nuke Christmas. I mean we have all those warheads and we're not even using them!
