1. My dear babylonsister!
My husband and I drove 50 miles one way to have dinner with our family...

In traffic.

And yes, it was worth it!

We had a very good time...saw our grandchildren, and assorted other family members!

I. Am. Stuffed.

4. 4 blocks, but
4,000 miles would have been worth it!

I hope everybody had a wonderful day too.

Hey you, I've got a Thanksgiving baby! My niece had a baby this morning, little girl. It's my sister's first grandchild, I am so excited for all of them.

7. Traveled 100 miles and
yes it was worth it. I had good food and fun. I guess I am the fun aunt and am happy that my nieces and nephews enjoy having me around. After dinner by nieces and nephews andbi went to the home of my nephew, Eric, to play Guitar Hero. I couldn't play since one of my arms is in a sling, but I had fun watching them battle it out.

A very good, even if I am having a very difficult time getting to sleep right now.

8. A block and a half to spend the day
with good friends who are a part of our extended family. This year was the year that my daughter has Thanksgiving with her in-laws, and my son lives in CA and could make it back this year.

It was a great day full of good conversation over a wonderful meal.

9. I traveled 400 KM or so
Edited on Fri Nov-28-08 05:10 AM by DFW
But I had to work, and was in Brussels, and my family (or most of it, anyway) was at
the house in the German Rheinland, so it was the normal thing to do. My daughter is
here on four day break from law school in America, and has to go back Sunday. Our elder
daughter is back in Texas with the family with whom we share the house there.

*on edit--was it worth it? It's ALWAYS worth it!

11. down the road a quarter of a mile
but not to relatives- I don't do relatives on Holidays. I went to members of my "adopted" family. It was wonderful. We made music and played Charades and ate great food- much of which we had grown or raised ourselves.

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving Sis.
