FiveThirtyEight.com says Tweety will make a run as a Dem for Senator from PA

Chris Matthews Running For Pennsylvania Senate 2010

Chris Matthews is in.

FiveThirtyEight has been hearing this for some time, but it took a trip to Georgia among the Georgia-runoff-congregated and well-connected Obama organizer throng to confirm.

According to multiple sources, who confirmed the Tip O'Neill staffer-cum-MSNBC host has negotiated with veteran Obama staffers to enlist in his campaign, Chris Matthews will run for United States Senate in Pennsylvania in 2010. Matthews, 62, will run as a Democrat. Arlen Specter, the aging Republican incumbent, will be 80 if he chooses to run for re-election...

This is for Arlen Specter's seat in 2010. More at http://www.fivethirtyeight.com/

1. Specter will run
and Specter will win. He's moderate enough to win enough votes in Philly and Pittsburgh, and Republican enough to win in the "T." It would take a hell of a Conservative challenger to beat him in Pennsyltucky, and no one has proven up to the task yet.

Plus, Tweety is such a shit, I'm not sure I'd want to see him win.

5. I don't think Specter's health will hold up
He's almost 80 with a serious cancer history. If he does run, that factor will work against him.

3. It will be Specter unless he chooses not to seek another term
He will be 80 and is a cancer survivor. Matthews is no certainty to win in the primary either. I for one would be glad to see Matthews off TV for a while. I know he has some good moments but for me he personifies everything that is wrong with the current state of punditry on cable news.

6. Can't Wait To Campaign Against Tweety!
Edited on Fri Nov-28-08 11:15 AM by maddowfan
What a loser he is, not to mention a propagandist.

My god, remember the:

"Do you think Ann Coulter is attractive? Let's go around the room!"

Then his best friend, Tom DeLay. Olbermann almost lost it on him during the primaries.

Tweety is dangerous. His comment about, "I'm going to do everything in my power to make sure that this administration works," and "we're not in the business to question motives." No wonder he was the one selling the Iraq war.

His obsession with Clinton conspiracy's is also alarming, and he lives in a different era. He's cut from the 1970s faux bleeding heart hypocritical liberals, who are now your average Republican.

Matthews needs to be off television after he loses his bid for Senate. I hate him with a passion. Lou Dobbs hate!
