Ok....I will finally admit some concern. Karl Rove is on-board with O's
picks. I have long been in the camp that trusts that whoever Obama picks would be fine because he knows what he is doing.

Reading this editorial written by Rove has finally given me pause:

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122783239069463007.html

Some highlights:

The National Economic Council director-designee, Larry Summers, is another solid pick. Mr. Summers has been an advocate for trade liberalization, he was the Clinton administration's negotiator for the financial deregulation known as Gramm-Leach-Bliley, and he even attempted to rein in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in the 1990s.

Mr. Obama also named a respected monetary expert -- Christina Romer -- to head up his Council of Economic Advisors. On Tuesday he selected a first-rate thinker, Peter Orszag, to be director of the White House's Office of Management and Budget.

The only troubling personnel note was Melody Barnes as Domestic Policy Council director. Putting a former aide to Ted Kennedy in charge of health policy after tapping universal health-care advocate Tom Daschle to be Health and Human Services secretary sends a clear signal that Mr. Obama didn't mean it when his campaign ads said he wouldn't run to the "extremes" with government-run health care.

10. Summers Has A Track Record Of Actively Attacking The Middle Class
I heard him on NPR yammering about how he has not gotten enough positive credit for the offshoring of US jobs, because cheap Chinese goods increase purchasing power. A caller responded that he had lost his job to offshoring, so he couldn't buy a damned thing. Summers just sputtered and yelled at the caller.

8. What is troubling to me is why anyone gives any credibility to Rove or anyone from the Bush* Cabal.
He is just one more LIAR in the very long list of LIARS from this Cabal..

9. I wouldn't worry too much.
Everyone is going to be acting like they're happy for a while so that they can retain the appearance of being able to accomplish their agendas. After the dust of who gets what settles you'll see the real situation unfold and people start complaining.
