6. I think you can get VISA gift cards, which are good almost everywhere.

and I sure as hell don't want to open a damn gift card. If it's a distance gift, what the hell is wrong with money?

Good at any store in the mall. They can't all go under, can they?

10. A 'mall card' is only good at that specific mall. Lotsa malls are in deep trouble.

If the mall goes belly-up, you can't use the card at another "Gap" in another mall.
