The Taj Hotel has 565 rooms including 46 suites. 12 rooms with a capacity ranging from 25 to 500 persons auditorium style or 18 to 2000 persons for cocktails / receptions. The hotel can also provide state-of-the-art conference facilities for conferences and seminars, 11 dining facilities and bookstores and gift shops.



The Indian commandos have to clear and hold each room. The attackers also left unexploded grenades littered through the halls.

They are looking for 3 to 6, possibly more heavily armed individuals, with no known number of hostages. I feel for what they are trying to do.
