After watching BBC International's coverage of the Mumbai
slaughter and then watching Blitzer is enough to make one puke. Someone might tell Wolfie that well over 100 Indians are also dead.

1. Wolf is a human dial tone.... a droning, monotonous, dial tone. His
belief that there cannot be one single second of quiet... ya know, when someone isn't blathering on and on and on... irritates the hell out of me. Other than that I think he is a fine person.

2. Blitzer spent 20 seconds on the mass deaths, 4 minutes on the dead Rabbi
His priorities are all fucked up.

3. Yes, exactly.
I was watching CNN-India Bureau, which has its own problems, but was WAY WAY more sensitive and "real."

4. rec. I love any post that encourages folks to seek out other sources
for information. BBC is tremendous. And there are local sources too, with all their sloppy faults and so forth, but I love them and they are from the heart and often just as accurate.

7. I just spent a couple of weeks in Mexico.
Watching both BBC and CNN. After a point, I didn't even bother with CNN.

9. Wolfie sounds like he's pushing this one big time
I asked already - where is Dick? If one follows Wolfie, poor PE Obama will have a hard time undoing those terrorist laws. I smell a Big stink wolf/rat - I'm no longer sure.

Good point re some local sources.

6. The attackers were sophisticated enough to know to go after
foreigners. The coverage would have been little more than background noise, otherwise.

11. BBCI does a good job on their international coverage.

I watch them every day. I can't be bothered with CNN and their biased coverage or even non-coverage.
