Who Said "Terrorism turns Moderates into Extremists"? |
|
Edited on Fri Nov-28-08 07:30 PM by Mike 03
I've heard that quote at least a dozen times over the past thirty six hours I've been watching events unfold in Mumbai.
But what about how the automotive union people here are trying to make those of us who have questions about the auto bail out feel like we are unpatriotic, or just flat out calling us Un-American?
What is the fucking difference?
What about those of us who were interested but unconvinced, who were immediately called metaphorical "witches", unpatriotic, we don't belong, we aren't allowed to question anything around here?
So, what about those of us who had some inquisitive affection for you, but were blasted down so quickly for even daring to question whether it was wise or not, or American or not, or possible or not to bail out failed corporations?
Do you ever worry that you are making enemies of friends by simply being incredible assholes, unwilling or unable to make your argument in a friendly, civil way?
I must apologize, but I'm very angry about some of the things I have been called over the past three weeks for asking questions that any sane investor would ask prior to making an investment in a fairly monumental enterprise of any type. It's called "due diligence."

1. I don't know but they could also have said "fear turns moderates |
|
into extremists". When the adrenalin starts pumping we tend to act in ways we never would otherwise. Unfortunately that is just the opposite of what needs to be done.

2. Are you thinking of Deepak Chopra? |
|
