One gentleman says and I quote: 'One of the first casualties of these incidents is journalistic truth'.
We're dealing with gut emotional reactions rather than truth.

Another guest points out that while there were British, American and Jewish deaths, the majority of the dead are Indian and the attack was on India.

They are now discussing poverty in both India and Pakistan, but the major question Indians are asking is where was their government, why did it take 60 hours and who in India does not want reconciliation between India and Pakistan.

I think Wolfie should watch this program.

1. Myopic American Media

Chicken Noodle Nuze obssessed all day about the poor Lubovitchers from New York who died in the massacre over and over and over...as if they were the only casualties in this sorrid affair. And, of course, there were the usual suspects of "experts" who were more than happy to conjecture that this HAD to be an Al Queda job (as if they were hoping for some self-fulfilled prophesy) like this was a story they'd be waiting for for a long time and needed to ramp up all sorts of fears and speculation since that's always so much easier than covering what's really going on.

The fact that there were virtually no American journalists in the country says a lot of how poor our corporate media has gotten as well as how little we have interest in India or many other "non-white" countries. Surely there's a hint of "American superiority" at play here as well as surely we're both more "civilized" (we don't have terrorists like these in our country) and somehow intellectually superior, thus those Indians who died mean little...just like those who died in Iraq or Darfur or outside our "sphere" of interest.

4. Even more 'interesting'

is the fact that M$Greedia has ignored several attacks on Indian citizens even this year because no 'foreigners' were killed. Daily I'm amazed at the gap between 'reason' in the European media versus M$Greedia.

The lady in the group is also making some very good points about angry, disillusioned young men in Pakistan, but she made it clear that unlike the politicians and the media with an agenda, she does not know who committed this horrific 60 hours of slaughter.
