During the entire Bush administration, we have been bathed with blessings, patriotic songs, and worshiping of the President in public venues. The seventh inning stretch at baseball games is now just another excuse to sing "God Bless America", and "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" is a thing of the past. Valedictorians give ridiculous sermons during commencement exercises, and rightwing religious leaders are given first billing at conferences and conventions.

The nice thing about this is our rightwing counterparts are no longer justified in complaining about the nationwide celebration of the historic election of the first African-American president.
