i found when i gave coupons that the receivers never "cashed" the coupons so it was like giving the person no gift at all

on reflection i realized that i wouldn't cash such a coupon either

if someone wants to give me a back rub for our mutual pleasure it is not a gift that requires a coupon

if i am presenting hubby with a coupon and sort of forcing him to give the massage when he doesn't feel like it, well, it's pretty much bullshit

the coupons are one of those ideas that sound nice but are really kinda dishonest

it's better just to say you don't want to exchange gifts than to give a coupon that you know the person won't cash and if they do try to cash it it's always when you're busy and can't honor it anyway

just. say. no.

it's like the kid giving a coupon to dad that says, "good for mowing the lawn without whining," well that's fuck all for a gift since he should be mowing the lawn without whining anyways...

coupon books suck!
