The Secret Life of Energy - You Always Get More Out Than You Put In

< Let's begin the story, in 2002, as Peter Sumaruck walked into Fort Hood Army base, Texas; he had credibility with the military because he had been a Navy Seal in the 70's and 80's; and he had his prototype with him. He showed them a small motor using a minute amount of gasoline, would give ignition to a generator producing thousands times the initial input - Input = .o19 milliamps of energy. Output = 150 amps, thus disproving the Law of Thermodynamics.

Colonels, then generals were thrilled to elation - everyone could visualize applications for the war effort. They wanted to use Sumaruck's invention to power the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq - power for all facilities from tents to barracks, to food services, to medical outfits, any and everything other than weapons and vehicles - in these beginning days years, Sumaruck had not yet developed an application for vehicles.

edit to add this:
< By 2004, after a 6 month delay for parts, this new electric generator - tested tried and true was ready for mass production. Without warning, Hauke and Martin called Sumaruck and his attorney into their office. An order came down that the project had been cancelled by U.S. Congressman Michael "Chet" Edwards, Democrat, 17the district, and Texas State Senator Kip Averitt, Republican, 22nd district, both from Waco, Texas. The Congressman and the State Senator claimed that the Army could not be trusted with this kind of technology. Soldiers would try to figure out how the technology works; they would be distracted from battle; they'd want to quit the army, go home and make their own gen-sets. "We can't lose control of our people." They opted for a conventional war, one they could control.

3. What kind of bastard would only offer technology like that to the military?
He makes Edward Teller sound like a saint. If it were true, of course.

4. The military is the only dipshits that would believe this.
Any credible R&D department would have laughed him out their shop.

5. Bullshit stories of "free" energy always have several things in common.
All of them always include a story about how either the government covered the whole thing up, or the big oil companies bought up the patents.

They always "disprove" the laws of thermodynamics, proving that some crackpot in his garage always seems to outsmart the very best minds in the world. That works in science fiction, but it NEVER works in reality. And NOBODY ever violates the laws of thermodynamics. EVER.

Some mysterious somebody is always trying to break in and steal the super-secret invention.

There is ALWAYS some excuse why a working device has NEVER been demonstrated in public, or before a panel of qualified experts. (There are also always stories about how it WAS demonstrated in front of some group of unnamed "experts", although no actual names are ever forthcoming.)

There are always claims of patents, 14 in this case, but nobody can EVER produce an actual, valid patent number. Strange.

The secrets of the device have always either been "lost", or deliberately destroyed by the inventor to protect his secrets, or destroyed by the CIA or some other alphabet soup agency.

The inventor is ALWAYS misunderstood, harassed and persecuted.

Anyone who has taken (and understood) freshman physics knows that this is whole story pure bullshit.

This story has ALL the earmarks of the kind of pure bullshit that only the gullible and scientifically illiterate would ever fall for.

9. One fundamental thing they all share as well

They exhibit poor or no understanding of energy principles or terms. Amperes != energy, so no magical workaround of the Second Law has occurred. Electrically, Volts x Amps = Watts, a unit of instantaneous power. Watts over time, such as kilowatt/hours, = energy.
