I just saw DL Hughley Breaks the News for the first time. What do yalll think of his show?

It seemed quite sedate, even by CNN standards. He seemed to be keeping his delivery deliberately low-key and most of the interviews only ran three questions long. He's an experienced entertainer, hzving done both stand up comedy and a standard set-in-the-suburbs sitcom, so I know he's not a boring on-air personality (I'm lookin' at you, Wolf). Are others finding its lithium like pacing curious, or am I just expecting something too comedy-paced?

4. It's worse than boring

It's utterly uninteresting.

Why is this show even on, I wonder?

5. Maybe they're trying to balance their line up

All their other shows are informative and maybe that just gets tiresome by the end of the week.

I haven't watched in quite a while, and was not aware that they had changed the caliber of their programming.

Last week at the very beginning of the show, he had a picture of Sarah Palin and a voice said

"Due to this special programming, 'Northern Overexposure' will not be aired this evening"

I about lost it I was laughing so hard. :rofl:

12. the show sucks

DL is ok , i usually like listening to him. but this show just sucks. i think it would be better if he was just brought on as a regular pundit or for commentary as the others rather than having him do a comedy show.

I don't know if it's the writing or the network smothering him or what, but I've tried watching it several times and it's the worst unwatchable drek ever.

Watch Chocolate News instead.

20. I was disappointed, since he's been both funny and political on Bill Maher and

when he was in contention for host of the CBS late night show. Granted, I've only seen it once, but when I turned it on last night, it was a repeat of that show...:shrug::-(
