I like how on all the shows senators are always mentioned as "key"...

Like George Stephanopoulos just called Jack Reed and Dick Lugar "two key senators" while talking about the attacks in India.

Once I would like to see two senators introduced in a totally dismissive way, but still in a serious tone. Like: "As the budget crisis deepens we are joined by one inconsequential senator and another totally worthless one."

That's my goal, someday when I grow up, I might end up being a totally worthless senator.

I think that's why they have 3452346234523 committees. That way more of them get to feel important.
