I like how on all the shows senators are always mentioned as "key"... |

Like George Stephanopoulos just called Jack Reed and Dick Lugar "two key senators" while talking about the attacks in India.
Once I would like to see two senators introduced in a totally dismissive way, but still in a serious tone. Like: "As the budget crisis deepens we are joined by one inconsequential senator and another totally worthless one."
That's my goal, someday when I grow up, I might end up being a totally worthless senator.
