Let's Settle This Once And For All |

All those who now hate Obama because of his selection of Rick Warren say "Aye". All those who still like Obama and want to give him a chance to prove himself say "Nay".

1. Dude...way too soon to tell. |
|
Obama still has the chance to ditch Warren. Let's wait and see if he does so, and encourage the ground swell of anger to get louder to try to push him in that direction.

4. For those who support Gay Rights, freedom of (and from) religion, and Civil Rights in general, |

science and reason, say "Aye". (just so you know, it's not "I" its "Aye")
For those who support bigotry, say "Nay".
Does that help?

I can still hope that he will be a good president and still be absolutely furious with him over this issue.
I can still hope for a hugely successful Presidency while stating that I will not tune into the inauguration.
I can still hope that Obama will make great strides in other areas while noting that he is very wrong on equal rights as they pertain to the GBLT community.

Of course mine shouldn't really count cause it's my thread but i just need to say it. I am REALLY upset with all of the fighting going on at DU and I might not want to visit anymore. I think both sides are right and wrong. Obama could do a hell of a lot better than Rick Warren I agree. But at the same time, I just think it's foolish to expect everyone at DU to all simultaneously hate Obama and burn effigies over it. It doesn't work that way and a voice of REASON will alway prevail. Rick Warren is not a REASONABLE choice in that he's a bigot. But neither is it REASONABLE to brand everyone who still likes Obama a traitor and a heretic and quite frankly its annoying. P.S. I updated the thread as you can see.

I don't hate Obama but I don't like how he has been proving himself either.

who, first of all don't "hate" anyone, but who have never appreciated Obama, who opposed him all along specifically BECAUSE he is center-right, and his inclusiveness does not include the left, say?
What, exactly, do we say?
