The Most Dangerous Man on TV, Larry Kudlow
Edited on Mon Dec-22-08 10:45 PM by louis c
This is a premier dope. Larry Kudlow is a first rate economic asshole and has no understanding about the real economy, yet is allowed to continue to spew misinformation and poor advice to an unsuspecting American Public on CNBC.

The Bush tax cuts, continued deregulation, unrestricted free trade, union busting, interest rate cuts and on and on. Trickle Down Economics and a capital gains tax cut to zero, that's what this country needs. That's the Kudlow way. Except he was wrong. Dead wrong. Kudlow was a cheerleader for the worst economic disaster in America in the last 70 years. His economic philosophy of "let the market police itself and get the government out of the way" has now been tried twice. From 1921 to 1930 and from 2001 to 2007. How's that philosophy doing, asshole.

I would watch this economic idiot every night tell people that we would have a booming economy from now until doomsday. That Bush was an economic genius. "The Ownership Society" care of the brilliant Republicans. Two years of his bullshit, until that bullshit hit the proverbial fan. What amazed me is how so many average "Joe's" ate it up. As I was telling my friends and co-workers about an inevitable economic collapse, they would just laugh and quote Kudlow. In June of this year, when I told all who would listen, that Obama would win the presidency, and they laughed. My line was this "the party in power never wins a general election during a depression". Laughter was the response. Not in October, though. By November, everyone stopped laughing.

Please read the link below, which was written by Kudlow in April of 2006. "...the boom will continue as far as the eye can see." Economic malpractice. If a doctor made a public declaration that caused a medical catastrophe, we would want his head. CNBC, instead, let's Kudlow continue his idiotic economic prescriptions as if no one noticed.

18. I really like Dylan!! He actually has some sense
Jeff is fun to watch, but way too "free market." At least he's getting it now I think. Dylan is pretty relentless critisizing just the right things.

12. Ave Maria Mutual Funds? Is that connected to Tom Monaghan?
You know, the religious nut case owner of Domino's Pizza? Funder of 'Ave Maria University'? Every time I drive by his complex at the intersection of US 23 and M-14, I flip him the bird out of principle.

16. Yes it is
And one of their chief investing planks is to invest in companies who do not give domestic partner benefits.

29. Oh my, my, my.
The puke icon you included is MOST appropriate. Agh.

I remember once I was on a stage with Monaghan (it's a long story) and I remember thinking how cool it would have been to reach forward and give him a pie in the face. Alas! The moment passed.

Kudlow's definitely an asshole, then

10. I listen to the other side
Maybe I'm a masochist, but the only way to defuse a position on any issue, is to know how the other side arrived at it.

I'll admit, that rush is tough to bear, but I listen to the other side and I find it completely misinformed.

11. He's the one
My response to those who quoted him, as Kudlow was blaming Barney Frank for the economic disaster, was this. Let's see, the SEC, the Justiice Department, the council of Economic Advisers, the Federal Reserve Board, the Treasury, the Sec. of Commerce, the trade emissaries, OMB, CAO, none of these groups or agencies, all appointed by the president, have anything to do with the economy. The minority ranking member of the House banking committee runs the American economy. Now I get it.

14. you might want to consider easing up on
the "recovering drug addict" bit. addictive disorders are health conditions, not moral failings. it detracts from the rest of the argument, which is spot on in and of itself.

20. Kudlow is batting a big, fat zero just like
William Kristol and James Glassman. They have never hit a single, much less a home run, on any major issue. They are all batting .000 with their predictions. Didn't Kudlow once predict (or was it Glassman) that the DOW would hit 20,000 under the brilliant leadership of George W. Bush?
