Two-year-old boy fatally shoots himself in Smith Township home

A 2-year-old boy was pronounced dead at approximately 10 a.m. Thursday at Alliance Community Hospital from an apparent accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Sebring dispatch answered a 911 call at 9:16 a.m. from a woman screaming for help.

With Sebring Fire Chief Jim Cannell at the wheel, paramedics rushed the victim to the waiting ambulance. Emergency crews from Stark-Summit Ambulance arrived and a paramedic from its staff accompanied the victim to the hospital.

According to the report, the victim's father was identified as Douglas Foor, a part-time patrolman with the Minerva Police Department.

Keep your guns locked up when you have kids around. How hard is that to grasp?
Same with household chemicals, turn pans cooking on the stove so the handle is not hanging over the edge, keep medications where they cannot get them, etc and so on.
