DUMBASS American Car Companies Advertising on Right Wing Hate Radio |
|
Edited on Wed Dec-24-08 11:27 AM by Vinnie From Indy
A spin through the AM hate radio spectrum reveals that US Car companies are STILL spending millions to advertise on programs where the hosts spend most of their time urging listeners to oppose any bailout of the industry. From Rush to Hannity to Boortz to Savage they all rant and rave in opposition to to any help for the auto makers, they bash the quality of products from Detroit and they blame it all on unions. These rants are immediately followed by ads from Chrysler, GM and Ford. I guess the folks making decisions at these companies truly are dumber than shit!

1. And I'm willing to bet a majority of their execs contribute to the repubs |
|
And will continue to do so. It's "good business" after all...
(sarcasm if not clear...)

Just saying they advertise everywhere - everyone needs a car whether you're a dumbass ignorant fan of right-wing talkshows or a fan of campy gay-themed movies they show on LOGO (It was DEBS and The Hunger - hey I had the flu and it was the best I could find on TV at the time)

I need a car and can't get a loan. I guess I'll have to wait until the Big Bank Bailout is complete so I can get a few thousand to purchase a car from DynaMoe's "No Credit-No Problem" used-car lot.
I want to buy a car made in this century...

9. well you have a valid point there |
|
The point is - The big 3 advertises everywhere although for the record Suburu does more on Logo than anyone else.
And I'll be stuck with my 2000 Toyota until it dies, which I hope is another 10 years.

3. I wrote them (for what good it did) and told them |
|
I'd never buy from them again until the dropped these dirtbags from their list of advertisers.
I hate the thought of supporting anyone that uses these people as mouthpieces.

5. They also advertise on The Thom Hartman Show. |
|
They've been lending hybrid SUVs to talkshow hosts across the political spectrum, including Stephanie Miller and Thom Hartman.
To his credit, Thom actively speaks out against the misdeeds of his advertisers, including GM and Wal-Mart.
Stephanie Miller has spoken out against the "Yes on 8" people who advertised on her flagship station, including during her show.

6. It's an audience of stooopid people |
|
and they're more likely to be fooled by temporarily low gas prices and go out and go into debt for a big gas hog.

10. Republicans buy more American cars |
|
Democrats are more conservation minded and buy cars with better mileage numbers. And the Big 3 have to unload all those SUVs and trucks that are already manufactured. If they change their business model to make better fuel efficient cars, their customer base will grow because Reps will still jingoistically buy American-made and people (mostly Dems) who care about the environment will buy too.
