Bush and Cheney are sociopaths or so says a retired cop on Thom Hartmann.

A caller in to Thom Hartmann, who identified himself as a retired cop spoke to Thom saying that everyday that he went to work, he was dealing with sociopaths and got to know how to spot one very well. He went on to say that George Bush but especially Dick Cheney are sociopaths without a doubt in his estimation. He also went on to say that we really need to rethink what is criminal in this country because sociopathy is a disease and should be treated as such before these people get out on the streets or even worse into public office like Bush and Cheney have.

I have never taken a psychology course so I don't know much about psycopathologies but I think I too can figure out a sociopath if I cross one's path. This is food for thought. How do we screen out these sick people from ever taking part in the political process without violating their constitutional rights? I don't think the world can ever handle another Caligula, Hitler or Bush/Cheney again.

The problem is that authoritarians, social dominators and sociopaths are attracted to and desire authority. As a result they love getting into professions like politics, the military and law enforcement. It may be a problem we cannot truly overcome except through working and redundant checks and balances to prevent abuses.

..Thanks to a compliant and corrupt media.. the sociopath model is promoted via TV news and Radio News.

The COPS TV program.. for instance...(only a hit on Fox because it was cheap to produce) Reinforces the MEME that "you the Public" exist solely to be controlled by "Corp-Gov Cops and judges.

I wonder how our country founders in 1765 would have thought about this?

3. I'm not sure about Cheney but Bush is a puppet not a sociopaths IMHO.
