The United States of America , your quality supplier of ideals of liberty,
human rights and democracy for over 200 years would like to apologize from
the bottom of our collective heart for its 2001-2008 service outage.

The technical fault that led to this eight-year service interruption has
been located and the software responsible was replaced Tuesday night,
November 4, 2008 at approx. 9:00m pacific time. Early tests of the
newly-installed program indicate that we are now operating correctly and
we expect it to be fully functional by today a few minutes after
noon, January 20, 2009.


We apologize profusely for any inconvenience caused by this unfortunate
and catastrophic outage, and please be advised that we look forward to
resuming full service and even hope to improve it in the months, years
and decades to come.
