This is probably the busiest day in DU history. Before, on less busy but damned busy days, this website would get slow and clunky, they'd be taking certain tools offline, and the whole thing looked and felt as if it were being held together with spit and baling wire.

Not today.

Eight years of hard work, and DemocraticUnderground.com greets this biggest of days running like a frictionless machine.

Oh, our mods and The Three Musketeers are the best, but it was the quality of the company that has kept me here. Back in 2002, there was not a hell of a lot of peeps here.

But there was you, Matcom, Lynne, NSMA, ZombieWoof and others that told me I *could* set down some humble roots here and find a little sustainance for the soul in the darkest times, here.
