Now Is Not The Time To Become Politically Complacent
I know we all blame the Avon lady addict and corrupt Florida politics for Gore's defeat in 2000, but the true villain was our own political complancency. We had it good during Clinton's run, and we were not as fired up in 2000 as we were in 2008.

In 2000, there was no DailyKos, no DU, few liberal blogs, no Air America, no Rachel Maddow, etc. I remember Bartcop and MediaWhoresOnline, and that was it.

We cannot start thinking that the Bushes are gone forever. They are like the Siths from Star Wars. They find ways to creep back into power because that's all they know how to do. The Bushes have held power in the Executive branch for 20 of the past 29 years. They will be back:

2. AMEN!!! Complacency is what happeend in 1992
when after 12 years of Reagan, Reagan and Bush people to the left of Karl Rove thought they had a place at the "table." We quickly found out that was not true.

Barack Obama has called on us to push him and that is EXACTLY what we should do! We still need to be in the streets calling for an end to the war on Iraq and Afghanistan.

We need to send emails calling for an investigation and arrests of Bush and Cheney and anyone else in their (mis) administration who sanctioned and approved torture.
