The Senate will vote Wednesday on the confirmation of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton to be the next secretary of state under an agreement reached Tuesday between Democrats and Republicans.

Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) announced Tuesday that the Senate leaders agreed to hold the roll call vote at 4:30 p.m., signaling an end to wrangling between the New York Democrat and Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas).

Cornyn had been blocking the vote for what he called conflict-of-interest concerns over President Bill Clinton’s foundation.

5. That only works if he has a penis...
Jury is still out on that. I think Hillary told him up on the stand, that she would do something to him and he punked out and said he would not hold up her nomination.

12. Alleged concerns about conflicts of interest
Bill Clinton's foundation accepts donations from all kinds of people, some of whom might not even be gud Merikins. And somehow, in what passes for Cornyn's mind, this means conflicts of interest for Hillary Clinton in the position of Secretary of State. Oddly enough, Cornyn left no record concerning, for example, no-bid defense contracts handed out to Dick Cheney's former employer Halliburton, or the confirmation as Attorney General of George W. Bush's personal attorney Alberto Gonzales.

Conflict of interest is a slippery concept for Mr. Cornyn. He can see it very clearly in some instances, so clearly that it might not even exist. Other times, it can smack him right between his beady little eyes, and he's completely oblivious to it. It's a strange phenomenon the defies rational explanation except for the old standby of political hypocrisy and grandstanding.

15. Oh, I know that, but he has to know his stonewalling won't last and ...
... the very thing he is fighting against will come to pass.

I guess what I meant was besides the conflict of interest claims, what does he expect to do?

14. Hillary probably threatened to expose Saudi Royal's support of terrorism...
and the tacit Republicon endorsement/cover-up in the Senate record.

They don't have "nuthin'", they've got liabilities - Why else would almost all of the Repuke old guard from both houses have "retired" this year?

We ususally pay dearly for Harry's deals later.

I hope Cornyn never wins another election, rat bastard.
