I can't tell you how often I hear people badmouthing the French as cowards simply because they refused to participate in ShitAssInc's blood for oil scam. And yet - when fucked over by the predator class and their own government they take to the streets - while we sit around our TeeVees eating cheeseburgers bitching because the woman in line at the grocery with the WIC voucher took too damn long and why don't she grab her own bootstraps.
Amazing.

They understand the meaning of their revolution. The French Revolution was internal and class based. The American Revolution was a break with Britain. The Civil War was over slavery.
It's the main reason the American Ruling Class hate any discussion on class issues. They have used the divisions from the civil war to divide and rule and very successfully. What's more the French don't buy the religious bullshit either and that too has been used successfully in the US to keep people docile.
It's hard to understand - maybe the more the right defend the rich and ignore the people, the sooner they'll wake up.

9. That was very profound |

I have never thought of things that way and you are entirely correct (at least about Americans - I don't know the French very well).
I think the unionization of America was an attempt but it fizzled. I often wonder what it will take to get people off their couches.

The sooner the world throws off the oppressive chains of capitalism, the better off we'll ALL be.
