iirc. Of course, things are different now so it's hard to say whether they'll feel the same pressure to oppose it. Maybe when the anti-science idjits start hearing about conflict over the waters in the melted north pole, they'll realize climate change is true.

We actually did sign it just didn't ratify it. It seems unlikely that it will be ratified any time in the near future, based on what wikipedia said. Thanks for the help though.

I didn't know that his signature means the US signed. So we are official signators, just no ratification from the Senate. So the Senate could ratify Kyoto, I guess with 66 votes. Is that how you understand it? Does it have to be submitted by the President or can the Senate just take it up because it's been signed?
