We just got an 800# call, we bought something on the peanut recall list |
|
It only gave the # to call once. I didn't get it written down fast enough. Back to watching the SB. More on this in a few days.

2. I'm letting others know... |
|
They too may have something in the house that is recalled and not know it. If not for our Bakers (Dillon) shoppers card, we would not have known we had a problem.

3. How would they get your number? Did you pay by cash or credit card? |

If cc, that means that they went into the store's database to find all records and your food buying records are accessible to whom? The store only or the store and the government.
I'm assuming yes to the card?
This also means people who paid cash are not going to get notified?
For those who use stamps, they go into the records and share between them?
Was the call from the store, Washington, or India?
I may be off track, but I've not heard of anyone getting a call about a food purchase. I thought the calls went to car owners whose cars are officially registered.
Curious if this is the first time for food.

They would still get notified. No I'm not sure who all see's our buying info. Marta loves that they target what we buy with coupons in the mail.
It was a recorded call from an 800#.
There was a consumer group that was upset with a store some time back for not calling people it knew had bought tainted beef in it's stores. That is the other side.

5. Costco called me a few weeks back |
|
When the recall was just getting started.
It was an automated call, and told me I'd bought a specific recalled item between certain dates. Clearly my Costco card links to their database.
They followed up with a form letter a week later.
