The GOP aren't giving Obama a honeymoon, are they? how do you feel about that? |
|
usually a president gets a honeymoon from the oppositon party, but they have been on the attack from the beginning. How do you feel about it? I don't necessarily feel it's bad. It just shows how out of touch they are.

5. The GOP literally has nothing left but to be contentious obstinate douches. |
|
Until they get removed from what offices they have left.
They are like the political equivalent of freeper trolls at this point. Their only function is to make trouble.

They are being douches in the most public of ways. By throwing bipartisanship back in Obama's face when the county is trying to deal with the biggest economic upset in living memory (just about) they're alienating more and more of the public. They are screwing themselves while they screw the country.
Obama has to keep pretending their input matters and they'll just continue to shrink like ice on a hot stove. And when the true assholes are all shipwrecked, only the right-of-center moderates will remain -- and with them, we can work.
Keep in mind the old adage: "when your enemy is committing suicide, don't try to talk him out of it."
With regard to the acual governing thing, the dems need to tell the 'Licans to take a hike. Nuclear option be damned: the 'Licans can't sustain a real (as opposed to threatened) filibuster, and we need to call their bluff. Over and over again. Until they learn that a majority is a majority.

Republicans play to win.
And the way it's been going since November 4th, the Democrats seem to be trying very hard to self-destruct.

and over again. The republican party is the PROBLEM ITSELF, not just the assholes who MAKE up the party. If you use RICO statutes to make the party illegal, you get rid of the problem. Quid pro quo.
