John McCain really seems to cares, about what I have no idea
"We need to have in our view more tax cuts and less spending. But we can negotiate," McCain stressed.

Yes we can spend more and have tax cuts just like the Bush years, the Reagan years, those other Bush years.

"It hasn't happened so far, but Republicans have got to be involved in the active negotiations. A key Republican demand is to refocus the stimulus package away from a spending spree on infrastructure and social safety nets,

You know infrastructure and social safety nets, the things that economic study after economic study show work the best to stimulate the economy. Don't waste government spending on those even though those things are the reason you voted for Obama and not me.

and towards attacking the root cause of the financial crisis: the US property market slump. "Look, this crisis started with housing," McCain said. "It's going to end when we stabilize housing -- home prices."

So he's worried about good people losing their home right? I mean he deeply cares if good hard working people end up on the streets. Wait doesn't this guy own a lot of houses. Don't tell me he is crying a river because he's deeply concerned about keeping his housing equity. Oh god he is. Once again making the same dumb mistake as in the election, John McCain shows he care more about protecting rich Republican land owners fake, bubble run up housing equity than he cares about making sure millions of middle class Americans keep their home no matter what their homes final equity is. Look the crisis started with bad Republican policy, I say we end the crisis by not listening to more stupid Republican policy.

1. So it's all about the housing market and it's going to end when we reinflate the bubble

I am awestruck the Repukes, including this asshole, keep singing that tune. We are in this mess because of their economic decisions over the past 8 years - decisions designed to gut the middle class and put $$$ in the pockets of the rich.

NO ONE should be listening to them - especially McCain.

5. They're conservatives, by definition
they are not capable of thinking outside their "tried and true" formulas.

Repubs remind me of these folks from ST: TNG:

Can you make us go?

14. He's not quite that stupid.
He and the rest of the "it's because the banks were FORCED to loan to poor people" GOP assholes have enough to not come right out and say it. -- Well, except Westmoreland and we already know he's about half brain damaged.

7. This republican line of "logic" just astounds me...
Edited on Mon Feb-02-09 11:57 AM by EnviroBat
So somehow we can spend more, and still have tax cuts? Oh, I get it. It's because we use "magical money" that just seems to sprout of the ground, and fall from the sky. I don't know how I've missed that all these years.

These dumb fuckers should be taken out back and shot. I'm getting fed up with being run into the ground by "free-market capitalism". It's nothing more than fascist greed, and we are being victimized by it.

"Umm, Senator McCain. Can I see you out back behind the barn for a minute"?
