I saw English Beat last night and they ended with a song about Obama!
First he said something about us electing someone who's "half & half" It was hard to understand anything though because their accents were so strong. Then they started singing "Barack, Obama, Barack, Obama" in the ska style.. and at the end they said "Yes we did!"

I though it was COOL.

(is this lounge stuff? sorry!)

1. That's awesome. As fate would have it, "Save it for later" is next up...
...on my track list in Winamp. English Beat rocks!

4. I didn't know they were still touring, much less recording. I liked them
back in the '80s.

6. well Rankin Roger wasn't there..
but next to the lead singer was this MC-type guy who got everyone yelling and jumping up and down. I was totally impressed when he wrapped up with a whole Obama deal! And the horns players sounded so good.. Everybody had a great time!

7. Always loved them. They are a great band. All these 80s bands that are
still around should be proud of themselves. I, for one, am a huge Depeche Mode fan and cannot wait for the new album and tour. The Fixx is still touring as well and it's great to see these bands still around and doing well.
