About this talk

Natalie MacMaster and her musical partner Donnell Leahy play several tunes from the Cape Breton tradition -- a sprightly, soulful style of folk fiddling. It's an inspired collaboration that will have you clapping (and maybe dancing) along.

1. Woo, my neck of the woods represent!
I swear, every third man, woman and child on that island plays at least two instruments. You grow up there, you'll know half the regional music scene in person.

This was a very entertaining performance- and very technically difficult to boot.

5. I love Natalie MacMaster
She's even better live, and yeah, it's one of my life's goals to someday go to Cape Breton and hear it all for myself. ;-)

6. Natalie rocks!

She's got a great live act.

Has she had her baby yet? My wife and son saw her not too long ago and she was way preggers. She only danced while she fiddled on the very last song.
