Appeals court to Prop 8 boycott "victims": Suck it up.
West Hollywood, California (February 2, 2009) - Final briefs flooded into the California State Supreme Court in late January, with amicus briefs supporting opponents’ demands to reverse the anti-gay marriage initiative coming from the City of West Hollywood and across the state and nation.

Meanwhile, Yes on 8 “victims’ of boycotts and harassment because of their donations to Prop 8 were told to suck it up by the appeals court that heard their pleas to make secret the otherwise public information about supporters’ contributions to the anti-gay marriage amendment.

At the same time, gay leaders from across California descended upon LA for a summit meeting at which plans for a statewide initiative asking for a Prop 8 reversal was discussed, as well as contingency plans laid for the backlash that is certain follow should the court determine Prop 8 to be unconstitutional.

On the amicus briefing front, numerous friend of the court briefs came from scholars at leading law schools in California and the country, including scholars from Harvard University, Stanford University, Yale University, University of California (Berkeley, Los Angeles, Hastings, Davis and Irvine), University of Southern California, University of Pennsylvania, Rutgers University, University of San Francisco, Loyola Law School, Santa Clara Law School, Chapman University, and Pepperdine University....One of those business donors recently E mailed WeHo News asking the publication to remove his name and business from the list, fearing economic retribution.

Kenton Wong of Forensic Analytical Sciences, Inc. asked that his firm’s "listing near the bottom page 140 of 624 of the document" be removed because “that listing could be misconstrued as a company endorsement.” :nopity:

Businesses across the state report having received letters from Catholic organizations connected to Prop 8 that threatened boycotts over their donations to the No On 8 campaign, something that gay leaders point out with glee over that side’s evident hypocrisy.

2. Part of the reason I donated to No On 8 was because I WANTED my name listed publicly,
I WANT to be on-the-record as opposing Prop 8.

What's wrong with the chrisTo-fascist cowards?

It's not like we can feed them to the lions... or can we? Hmmm....

6. Kenton Wong of Forensic Analytical Sciences, Inc...
Gosh, I feel sorry for Kenton Wong of Forensic Analytical Sciences, Inc., who donated $200 in support of Proposition 8, (or so the web tells me). I wish there was some way we could help clear his company's name since the court won't help. I wonder if anyone could e-mail his employer at crimelab@forensica.com and give them the opportunity to distance themselves from his contribution? Seems like only the fair thing to do...

Me thinks Kenton Wong should have thought long and hard about making that donation if he didn't want his employer to be made public. It's a little late to want to take it back now.
