NEW YORK (AP) -- Cable television isn't enough for MSNBC's Joe Scarborough. He has a book coming out in May.

Publisher Crown Forum, an imprint of Random House Inc., says the title is "The Last Best Hope: Restoring Conservatism and America's Promise."

Crown Forum says the book will issue a challenge to Scarborough's own Republican Party to either reform or die.

The publisher said in a statement Tuesday: "The book will offer a searing indictment of the Republican leaders who destroyed their party and crippled our country, while offering a clear path of recovery to conservatives who are ready to take their country back."

It's hilarious to me that Joe, who came in under the freaking "Newt Revolution", and uses every old school puke talking point in the book on his show, thinks he is in the position to give the Republican party lectures. "Searing Indictments on Republicans"....right....in other words, trying to cash in on how rotten the Republican brand is right now. Between this and Mika's "self help book for women", I'm not sure which is worse.

"an item" even though he is married with kids, including a young baby. I think Mika is a parent, but I guess she is unmarried or divorced or something. I generally don't buy into rumors, but another DUer said it is "common knowledge".
