Just exactly what will the republicans accept from our side. All I am hearing is how much we have to give them. I also believe, that a certain amount of that "give them something to shut them up" is built into the stimulus.

But here is the question, what will the republicans give us, or accept? This is not a one way highway.

And please, do not make this a bash Obama and or Reid, Pelosi, Dean or any other Democrat response, I am asking a question about those "other" people on the "other" side of the aisle.

1. The Republics will take every damned thing they are given, and
still vote against the bill. FUCK THEM. They are irrelevant.

3. They sure are getting a lot of media..
It is getting on my very last nerve. I have yet to hear one media type, ask the republicans what they will accept of the liberal part of the package. Not one.

10. Welcome to DU
Please ignore Rasmussen. They seek to influence opinion, not gauge it impartially as they would have you believe.

6. STIMULATE!!
I think we should look at what is in the stimulus for ourselves and not take either party's word on it.

I am a independent. On the DU looking at your side of the issues. Alot I agree with, some I don't.
Am I still welcome here>?

I just want the STIMULUS to STIMULATE, not just payoff certain groups,as I am scared for the country.

We are all in the same boat, cuz we are people, Americans.
If you want to see how much we are all really alike, regardless of our parties, watch Glenn Beck at 5pm TONIGHT.

He is not a repub. or a dem, just a guy. Who wants our country to have a future.

Honestly, it really does look like the elected senators and congress people who wear the "r" , are in fact taking their marching orders from talk radio such as limbaugh, hannity etc

4. tax-cuts, tax-cuts, tax-cuts..
and any other measures that help big business. And they will get it too. The media will give them plenty of cover, as well as those Democrats that will also vote against the bill. I imagine there are many people here, who have no desire in seeing the stimulus package pass for a variety of reasons. If it is not perfect they want no part of it. So...if nothing changes, nothing changes. I hope there are more people than it appears, that are willing to make some phone calls..if nothing else.

11. Then it was the same in the house.
But what Obama is doing, is stretching his legs in his second week. McCain may be all pooped out by now, but Obama has just begun to fight!
