Why, oh why am I sitting here listening to the Senate Debate on the bailout
It is sending my blood pressure up, it has been almost all repukes since I have been listening.

The talking points are: This bill won't create jobs, this bill is too expensive, but we haven't spent enough yet, we need more tax breaks in the bill, there is way too much pork in the bill. Good God, they lost on those talking points, they want to continue what we have been doing for the last 8 years.

OK, rant done. Thanks for listening. :hi:

2. I wanna see some Dem-style shock doctrine...
I wanna see Obama call a press conference, get on my teevee and say "Americans are losing their jobs at the rate of 500K each month. Meanwhile, the GOP is engaging in obstructionism. I urge all you Americans to call your Senator and tell them to vote for my stimulus bill."

3. Nah...we're just going to cave, as usual...
My prediction is that the final stimulus bill will come to around $700 billion, with $330 billion of that in tax cuts and only $370 billion or so in actual infrastructure and energy programs designed to generate jobs. Too little, too late. :-(

11. Ok so now Chuck Grassley
R-Iowa is up and I want to poke myself in the eye. pissed off about giving more money to states for Medicaid and not giving more money to providers of Medicaid. Like they haven't ripped everyone off already like AARP and that buulshit insurance plan * put in place along with Medicaid. People that only needed Medicaid were told all the sudden you need more. Just shoot me now!
