Will the Republican Party lose the South, West, and Midwest? |
|
Edited on Wed Feb-04-09 03:46 PM by Ardent15
States like Arkansas, Mississippi, West Virginia. etc are in need of money from the federal government. Also, the hunters and gun nuts in the West, Midwest, and South won't be able to hunt anymore if the Republicans continue on their path of destroying the environment.
You think people in these areas will come to their senses and realize the Republicans only care about Wall Street, not Main Street?

2. They don't even care about Wall Street. |
|
They care about people who work on Wall Street executive offices and boardrooms and vacation in the Hamptons.

These people just love their ignorance and hate the evil federal government. They don't need no stinking socialist aid.

As a hillbilly from the mountains of north Georgia, I thought I knew everything there was to know about racism and ignorance. Then I moved to Mississippi.

The price of Real Estate has been good here as well as the cost of living, my wife has a great job. BUT. I thought my old home state of Arkansas was backward but it is Massachusettsesque compared to the Magnolia State.

for the RNC chair - maybe that's why Haley put his nephew Henry on Steele's team, to try to steal up support.

12. The West is already gone! |

CA, HI, OR, WA, and now NV, CO and NM: all Blue. MT: 2 Dem senators and a Dem governor.
That leaves them with a tiny (by Western standards) pocket of ID, WY, UT and AZ, with the latter increasingly in play as long as there isn't another favorite-son candidate.

20. Last night I heard, "Will these cabinet problems hurt Obama's presidency?" |
|
I forget which channel.
There's absolutely no reason to go on the air with such an unanswerable question unless you want to plant that very seed in people's minds.
The US news is a wholly owned subsidiary of hell.

The southern upper class and white lower class are not going to suddenly find enlightenment. Conservative politics sits in the same part of the brain as religion. Republicans crafted a message that appeals to this people, and what Republicans do in power will soon be forgotten. Right now, Bush is being thrown under the bus by every conservative, labeled as a traitor to his ideology. I suspect the time is coming when Bush will be labeled ad Democrat President by Fox.
I suspect they will remain entrenched in the South and be competitive in the West and Midwest because people will believe it when they are told what they want to here. Packing is everything.
