Please critique my anti-GOP LTTE
Thanks

Based on their reactions to the economic stimulus plan, it seems that the Republican Party prefers Iraqi citizens to Americans. Republicans shriek in anger at Obama wanting to spend money to build and rebuild schools here in the United States, but they had no problems building them in Iraq. In fact, if anybody protested spending billions on rebuilding Iraqi infrastructure, they were called anti-American by Fox News and Rush Limbaugh. It also seems that to the GOP, universal health care is a great idea in Iraq, but Americans who support the money-saving idea of universal coverage here are socialists or communists. It seems the logic of the Republicans in 2009 is that Americans are not worth their help.

2. Good stuff. One question though
Where did you find out that GOP promotes Universal Care in Iraq?
This is a pretty big news to me.

10. here is the article on universal health care in Iraq from 2004
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/nationworld/2001870042_iraqdig03.html

WASHINGTON — Fresh from a two-day weekend visit to Iraq, the Bush administration's top health-care official defended the $950 million that will be spent to help Iraq establish universal health care.

Congressional Democrats have criticized the administration for helping Iraq to establish universal health care without doing the same for U.S. citizens.

Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson said yesterday there are major differences between the two countries that defy simple comparisons.

4. Sounds good - they also set up a Social Security program in Iraq
but don't think the one we have here works.

6. can be a permanent position, building schools in Iraq ...
especially if the terrorists (who weren't there when Bush sent the armed forces in to rid Iraq of terrorists) keep blowing them up ...

I'd only confuse myself if I changed my username, as I'm also newjeffct on other forums/boards, too. And, thanks for not changing yours, too.
