before the June date. I can't see stations paying the money to broadcast analog signals when they don't have to.

4. Loss of Viewers May be a Concern
People buy their converter boxes, hook them up and get the dreaded No Signal.
They are told that the signal would be stronger after the switchover and they'd be able to receive it then.
February 17th comes, They turn on their sets on and No Signal.
Gotta put up a new antenna. Maybe 2. On the roof.
It's FEBRUARY! What were they thinking. Most of the country is covered with snow and ice.
Where it isn't, it is probably raining.

They may lose millions of viewers who don't want TV quite THAT badly

5. Loss of viewers and advertising dollars.
In this economy why not wait a few months. And what about those apartment dwellers that can't put something on the roof?

6. People still watch TV?
If they have time to watch tv, they have time to get another part time job. :sarcasm:

I kinda remember having one of those...

Hell, who knows? Maybe we'll actually have people reading and doing crazy things like that if they can't watch TV though I suppose I'm just as hooked on the internet. I'd go crazy without it. Also, I think it's easier noawadays even without TV, because most networks have their shows on the internet the day after...

8. But not daytime tv sadly.
Especially Steve Wilkos. I started watching that a few months after nbc stopped broadcasting Passions.

Besides, the internet can't replace EVERYTHING.
