TARP bank execs to come before Congress

"State Street's CEO "invited" to Capitol Hill"

The first of several invitations has been extended to TARP bank execs to come before Congress.

I strongly expect the next 90 to 120 days to bring significant developments on pension fraud and foreign bribery conduit stories involving State Street.

Just as it had been my hope to provide backstory updates about the (still ongoing, by the way) Halliburton/KBR story at DU, it had also been my hope to provide similar updates as the investigations into (alleged) massive criminal conduct at State Street unfold this year.

Bribes paid to West African dictatorial regimes affect most Americans remotely and tangentially.

The frauds that State Street has perpetrated upon American retirees, workers, and taxpayers are a much more personally relevant story for most.

This hearing is one not to be missed.
