17. Barbara is more assertive. I love Russ but Barbara has no trouble
taking it to them while maintaining her poise and civility.

27. I think EITHER of these two would be a welcome change!
Barbara's had her moments of leadership (contesting the vote in 2004), and Feingold's had his too (Patriot Act, etc.). Either one would bring in some valuable leadership to champion those thorny issues that NEED to be dealt with in the Senate!

7. Barbara Boxer would make an EXCELLENT Majority Leader!
I loved how she stood up and said what we've been screaming at the television sets for months - where was Lindsey shaking up a bill with theatrics when Dubya handed down bills much bigger than this one?

He couldn't answer the question, just tried to attack her that he's stood up against his own party more than she - right. He might've talked a good talk on the floor, but I'm pretty sure he'd been voting with his fellow Rushpublicans on every single bill Dubya dropped on their half-brained heads.

A lot like McShame that talks a good talk on the floor in front of C-Span cameras but always voting with the rest of the Rushpublicans - and then having the temerity to call himself a "maverick".

20. Boxer said "enough of these theatrics"
Saying that to Lindsay Graham was priceless. He quickly told her that her time was up and he continued on, but, boy was he jittery, lost his composure for sure.

Leader Boxer, I like that.

8. Boxer is fantastic.
My friend's mother was one of her original campaign aids (until she died of cancer).

I was about twelve years old when she came on the scene in California. She is simply amazing.

but one thing she hasn't had the "yangs" for, is running for senate leader, or criticizing the current leader.

Although many would be better than Reid the spineless wonder. Barbara has a way of speaking clearly to the issue. She would be great as majority leader. Can we replace Pelosi too?

asking if he ever acted a fool like that during the Bush years.

she has the smarts and the back bone, sadly the combination is rare in congress and reid doesn't have it.

Edited on Fri Feb-06-09 03:15 PM by ooglymoogly
Reid is to busy gasping, wheezing, pearl clutching and swooning at ever puke fart that he is not only useless but dangerous. Boxer is my gal + she is ten times smarter than Reid. Now, about that "off the table" Nancy Pelosi.
