So we get another day. (EDITED)
Edited on Thu Feb-05-09 09:20 PM by ColbertWatcher
What should we do tomorrow?

We need to contact Senators, contact media and use the term JOBS BILL.

What else should we do tomorrow?

(ADDED)

Here's the link for phone numbers (from Buzzflash): http://www.visi.com/juan/congress/index.html

Any ideas for what we should do when the phone lines are busy/down?

Do we email the hell out of them?

Any way we can get in their faces?

Anyone know how we can get Code Pink involved (aren't they in D.C. all the time)?

5. Moderates to encourage their moderateness? The morans to record their calls?
LOL!

Maybe we can use the internets to our advantage!

Call the offices of morans like Cornyn and Graham and record their responses to blocking a jobs bill.

AND POST THE SHIT ON YOUTUBE!

25. Set up tent cities in front of each offending Senator's home office
Extra credit for getting a tent set up inside one of the offices and then we make sure we get our message out through the local media since the national media is solidly against the american people.

21. The best site I've found for easy dialing...

http://www.capwiz.com/sjhs/dbq/officials/

You pick a state and get the phone number for the Senator's D.C. office, as well as offices in their state. There are addresses there which make it easy to have a zip code handy. If you want to contact Reps or the Governor that is there as well. I went through like 10 Senators in no time. There was a list of Dems I found today...I'll see if I can find it. Mary Landrieu was definitely one of them, as well as Nelson of Florida, and the other Nelson of ?

Here it is...

Senators: Here are the Senators we need to target IMMEDIATELY to change their minds.

Nelson (Nebraska), Bayh (Indiana), Bennet (Colorado), Begich (Alaska), Conrad (North Dakota), Landreiu (sic) (Louisiana), Lincoln (Arkansas), Lieberman (Connecticut), Shaheen (New Hampshire), Tester (Montana), Udall (Colorado), Udall (New Mexico), Warner (Virginia), Webb (Virginia), Carper (Delaware), Klobuchar (Minnesota), McCaskill (Missouri).

23. We need to make sure the media discuss this issue properly.
Another DUer suggested we use the term "jobs" to describe this bill being contested in the Senate.

Anyone have any ideas on how best to do that?

We've been given one more day to beat the GOP down for their obstructionism, what can we do with it?

26. I'd definitely hit the "jobs" theme
and I'd try to get together people to picket outside appropriate senate offices dressed in work wear.

I'd also use the "GOP Taliban" theme against the obstructionists. Mullah Sessions's gaffe is soo precious to let go to waste.
