Recalcitrant senators need a starve-in at their offices

(Or foreclose-in, or whatever one wants to call it).

One of the disadvantages of living in a sane state is that I don't have many opportunities to organize protests directed at my representatives. But if I lived in a state with Bule Dog or Republican senators, I'd gather up every unemployed, foreclosed, cut, and otherwise harmed person I could find and plunk ourselves down in front of their offices, complete with signs designed to pressure the damned fools (or in the case of hopeless ones, give them a bit more bad publicity).

I don't plan on trading Bernie Sanders for Mullah Sessions or his ilk anytime soon, but this time for organizing. If any of you are better-placed organizers, please grab this opportunity for action. The Senator you sway may... well, save the economy from Great Depression mk. II.

1. We need to come up with some slogans for protest signs!

2. One of my impuses is to play with the "lets be like the taliban" stupidity when dealing with Rs
Sessions' gaffe was frickin golden, to paraphrase another politician, and we should get something out of it. "Jobs not Politics" and the uninteresing but to-the-point "Give us the stimulus bill now" might be good generic slogans, but for the special few, I'd go with "Jobs not insurgency" and (gosh, got to think about how to sloganize this) something about how Americans don't attack Americans like the Taliban. I'd also make signs describing what happened to some of the protesters: unemployed, foreclosed, hours cut, etc.

I'd really play with the Republicans = Taliban theme, down to dressing someone as a "Republican Mullah". That kind of meme can get the attention of the local media (the national media is mostly hopeless, but, who knows, maybe).

Obviously I'm just brainstorming here. But my instinct says there's a lot of good stuff to work with here.
