I need some help on a "Buy America" bullet point ltte

I am distressed by the latest manufacturing jobs data,and sincerely feel we need to try to bring these jobs home.I feel DU and the Democrats as a whole are conflicted by this...why?
Trade agreements?Haven't these trade agreements hurt our country?

The most important point is that Buy America and Buy American are 2 different laws (which is explained in the link I gave you). Buy America covers U.S. iron and steel and is exempt from all trade agreements. Corporate honchos and government officials are lying when they say they violate trade pacts and this notion that it will start a 'trade war' is ridiculous.

2. And the focus should be on fair trade, not free trade.

We need to renegotiate all trade agreements that do not allow for safeguarding worker rights and environmental protection.
