I think that's a good thing.

The conference is not an A-Lister. It is important, but not *that* important.

The action for our country is here - getting the stimulus bill through Congress and signed into law. This president is showing he has his priorities in exactly the right place.

I can't imagine his dipweed predecessor making a similar choice.

Kudos to Obama for this.

And the health of this country really is job one right now. The conference is about North Atlantic Security issues. I'll bet there's no pressing need to step up patrols for lurking insurgent Afghan U-boats.

The conference simply is not of equal import at this time than is the passage of this bill. His having done this shows the depth of his interest in the health of this country. I think it is a strong message to those who need to hear it.
