5. Ben Nelson is a grand-standing opportunist that wants DSCC campaign money
while voting with Rushpublicans every single time.

That piece of shit has got to go.

13. We'd lose the seat if we tried that
My argument is not with Ben Nelson. He is who he is and he can get elected there when ..... I dunno ..... Frank Lautenberg ...... couldn't come close.

My issue here is calling him a moderate. He isn't.

11. If you want to beat Ben Nelson, we're all going to have to
move to Nebraska.

That gorgeous Scott Kleeb couldn't even come close against a Republican not nearly as popular as Ben Nelson.

At least Nelson has a (D) after his name for the nose count.

12. My argument was with the characterization more than the fact
The media always refer to him as "moderate".

He simply is not.

I am fully aware that he is the best we can expect if we want a Democrat in that seat.

14. Sorry, but Mikulski and Kerry are liberal democrats. There voting records reflect that.
Edited on Fri Feb-06-09 04:48 PM by WI_DEM
For instance, the ADA (Americans for Democratic Action) give Kerry a 95% positive voting record and Mikulski 90% on issues in 2008, and I'm sure they are right up there in any other year.
