NPR - IBM. Today I had the misfortune to listen to NPR talking about IBM insulting |
|
their laid off employees by offering them a job in the country that their job was outsourced to.
Up beat, cheerful, talking about how generous IBM is. Paying for their move, etc.
NPR is despicable.
I SUGGEST - every company who outsources our jobs should be NATIONALIZED.
NPR should be bought out by Rev Moon or Murdoch - that is how right wing they are.
How many of those laid off people ere unmarried and under 25 and yearns to learn another culture or language instead of following their life here?
How many of them are over 25 and married or unmarried with or without children or with a parent they take care of?

1. I find it hard to get excited about this story. |
|
"IBM" is famous in the industry for standing for "I've Been Moved". They *ROUTINELY* forced staff reductions by relocating people's jobs across the country. "By the way, Bob, report to work in Peoria on Monday; we've moved your division there."
Now, it's just Bangalore instead of Peoria, but at least they're paying the relocation expenses!

3. I wonder if they keep their current salary? |
|
Or if they are paid the Bangalor rate.
