I'm curious if The Harkin Amendment is a part of....
the stimulus package. I heard Harkin explain it recently on CSPAN and I thought it was a really good idea - a $10,000 subsidy for the purchase of a new vehicle. Anyone?

This article says the Senate has voted to give a tax break to new car buyers in the stimulus bill:
