ITEM: GOP GROUNDHOG PAGENT
FEB 2, 2009

Congressional Republicans gathered for a Groundhog's Day Celebration by performing a pagent.

The original script called for the Republicans to creep out of a burrow at sunrise and look around for their shadows.

Sen. Mitch McConnell was the first to emerge as the morning rays crept over the horizon. As the sun bathed him in an eerie golden glow, he yelped and rushed back into the burrow, screaming in pain, "The light! The light! It burns!".
