Does anyone subscribe to "Reminisce" Magazine? If so, did you see this month's 'blow in'? |
|
Actually, not a blow in .... it was bound in a plain 2-1/2 piece of paper printed on both sides with

Guess who owns that site?
Guess.
Oh well, I've enjoyed this magazine for years and years, but now I have to rethink my subscription.
These fuckers are like cockroaches.

7. Stinky, hate to burst your bubble... |

But Reminisce is owned by Reiman publications, which is in turn owned by Reader's Digest. I don't know how much more "right wing" you can go than that (even though they try to hide it these days.) :D

That's the reason for the Warren plug in Reminisce.
Thanks for the welcome Starry Messenger.

3. Sucks, but these days publications are hurting so bad, they take what they can, |
|
in terms of ad dollars. The way the economy is going, the Warren types may be the only ones left with money to support our newspapers and mags. You can always ignore it. If you enjoy the mag I wouldn't hold it against them.

13. Damn....now I gotta cancel Birds N Bloom. |
|
Edited on Sat Feb-07-09 02:46 PM by dixiegrrrrl
I knew the Reiman link, but was wondering why that Purpose driven Life drivel showed up in the last copy. Calling them now.
Thanks for the heads up.
edited to add:
I called and cancelled the 3 magazines we were getting from them, and the service rep. says they have been getting cancellations. I made her spell out exactly why I would never again buy any product from Reader's Digest family that discriminated against my family. Bonus: We can use the money from the refunds, I had subscribed until 2010.

and passes them to me. They are a fun read but way too white bread if you know what I mean. Not a lot of stories about anyone not Caucasian.
They do have great pics and such but I'm going to let my semi-lib mom know she may not want them in her house anymore.
